meet kayla!

Hi! My name is Kayla and I’m a photographer.

I’ve been practicing the art of taking photos since I was 13. From middle and high school yearbook, to my friends’ senior photos, to my undergraduate thesis at Western Michigan University, to every small moment in between, capturing life using my camera has been my passion. My favorite thing to photograph is people—showcasing the beauty of my subject is my mission in creating art.

Outside of dedicating my life to photography, I am a fourth year undergraduate student at WMU studying English: Literature & Language and Political Science. I love trying different types of coffee, listening to music, reading, writing, hanging out with my pets, and spending time with loved ones. You can always find me at a local coffee shop with my headphones in and a book in my bag.
